The Division Training for Library Coordinators on Organizing Supplementary Learning Materials (SLMs) and Other Library Resources in School Libraries was successfully conducted on January 9–10, 2026 at The Ranch Resort, Bato, Toledo City.
The two‑day activity aimed to enhance the capacity of school library coordinators in organizing, managing, and maximizing the use of SLMs and various library resources to support quality instruction.
The training was organized by the Learning Resource Management Section (LRMS) led by Dr. Eden C. Lequigan, Education Program Supervisor, together with Mrs. Maria Desiree L. Balicoco, Librarian II, with the support of Ronel C. Gerundio, Project Development Officer II. The program featured practical demonstrations, collaborative workshops, and technical sessions designed to equip participants with essential skills in school library operations.
Gracing the opening of the activity was Dr. Maria Kenneth S. Nengasca, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division, who underscored the vital role of school libraries in fostering learner engagement and supporting curriculum implementation.
The successful conduct of the training further strengthens the division’s commitment to ensuring that school libraries remain organized, functional, and well‑equipped to meet the learning needs of every learner.
